Dental Implants for Permanent Smile Restorations
Missing teeth don’t have to be a fact of life. Dental implants offer a permanent replacement for a missing tooth and can protect your dental health and confidence.
Dental implants are comprised of a titanium post inserted into the jaw bone, topped with a lifelike prosthetic tooth. The implant post fuses to the bone and acts as a tooth root, which prevents jaw bone loss and keeps your teeth in alignment. The new tooth looks and functions like a real one, and is as easy to care for as your natural teeth.
Bridges and Dentures
A dental bridge can replace up to three teeth by anchoring them to the neighboring teeth on each side of the gap, which is fitted with dental crowns.
Dentures can replace some or all of the teeth in an arch. They are custom-made to sit above the gums and provide functional teeth for you to eat and speak with. Traditional dentures are removable, but permanent dentures can be fixed into place with dental implants.
Cosmetic Fillings and Crowns
When tooth suffers decay, the damaged enamel will need to be removed. Fillings return to function and provide protection for the remaining tooth to prevent further infection. Cosmetic fillings are shaded to match your teeth, preserving your smile aesthetic.
If the filling is large, or a tooth is cracked, it may need a dental crown to restore it. This tooth-colored cap is placed over a prepared tooth, keeping it safe and functional.
Gentle Root Canal Therapy
Should tooth decay reach the inner pulp of a tooth, it can cause extreme discomfort and lead to severe health risks. Root canal therapy alleviates pain and infection while preserving the tooth itself.
While RTC has had a negative reputation in the past, modern dental techniques make it safer, gentler, and more efficient than ever. Dr. Patel and her team have performed countless root canal therapy procedures, and strive for efficiency and maximum patient comfort.
If a tooth is broken, badly decayed, or impacted (pushing against other teeth), it may need an extraction. The most common extractions are the third molars or wisdom teeth. These teeth often become impacted and cause crowding and other issues. Most people will need at least one of these teeth removed to prevent further problems.
Dr. Patel and her team strive to make restorative dentistry a positive experience for every patient. With a relaxing environment and a welcoming approach, we make every effort to make patients feel safe and comfortable. We’ll answer any questions you have, and make sure you understand all of your options. Schedule a consultation with us today!
